About

Elaine’s Backstory

Since Elaine was small, there are two things she has been really passionate about besides family, friends, and outdoor activities:

  1. Helping people develop and learn through teaching and coaching
  2. Music

Elaine loves people of all types, finds them fascinating, and enjoys improving their understanding of and relationship with themselves, others, and their communities. Her purpose is to encourage clients to develop clarity, commitment, capability, creativity, and connections to contribute their best in work and life. She has trained and coached leaders in organizations for over 25 years — 17 of which were spent working internally in Boston financial and high tech companies creating, managing, and implementing company-wide leadership training, coaching, performance management, competency-modeling, and talent review/succession planning initiatives. Most rewarding are the meaningful relationships she’s built with leaders through the years, as well as the leadership development and lifelong learner commitment she has helped them achieve and foster in others. Elaine also values the honest, deep, and resonant exchange of energy, thought, and truth between herself and her clients, and finds it similar to the pure exchange of meaning and connection that can happen between a musician and his/her audience.

In terms of her love of music, she has pursued it as her avocation. She studied voice with four Boston teachers, “cut her teeth” performing at Cambridge blues jams, and led her own six-piece R&B/soul band that performed in the Boston-area. She now sings in her husband’s yearly music jam at Bose Corporation, and is currently learning guitar.

When not coaching or making music, she feels blessed to share life with her fun and talented musician/engineer husband Bud; her smart, funny, musical daughter Annie; their passionately outdoor cat, Sid; and treasured family and friends.

Compassion
Business Acumen
My relationship with Elaine goes beyond that of client and coach. Elaine is a friend, confidante, and partner. She is the quintessential executive coach and servant leader. She puts her family, friends and clients first. She is caring and compassionate, but can get to the heart of a problem with her insight, intuition, and business acumen. She brings out the best in people. I know this, because I witnessed her success firsthand. Elaine stays current, and continually adds tools to her toolbox to help meet the needs of her diverse client base. I recommend Elaine for any coaching engagement. Robin Lucier
